HAZOP Analysis on Three Glycol Dehydration Unit

Abstract: Conducted is HAZOP analysis on three glycol dehydration unit systematically, researched are deviations (flow, temperature, pressure and liquid level) and some objective factors which will affect proper operation of the unit, investigated are potential safety hazards one by one and proposed are relative solutions. This analysis method has been effectively applied to three glycol dehydration unit in Jingbian Gas Field. Compared are analysis results obtained by using this method with the field operation parameters and comparison results show that HAZOP analysis not only can solve some problems existing in dehydration unit operation, make operating parameters be identical with design parameters, but also can optimize the operating parameters and assure safe, proper and efficient operation of the unit. Effective application of HAZOP analysis can obtain the max production rate with min energy consumption.
