Analysis on Global LNG Market Based on Complex Network

Abstract:Based on the theory of complex network, the global LNG trade volume from 2006 to 2014 was selected as sample data to build a complex network model of the global LNG market was constructed, including 34 countries as nodes and LNG trade flows as edge and trade volume as weight. Through centrality analysis, the status of various countries and areas in the LNG supply and demand structure and causes of their status in the LNG market were analyzed. By analyzing the strength and the strength distribution, the relationship between the intensity of LNG trade in these countries and regions, and the dynamic evolution process of the trade were discussed. Furthermore, by weighted entropy analysis, the degrees of homogenization of the spatial structures of LNG trades were analyzed. Finally, suggestions have been made for China's LNG importing strategy based on the above analysis.
