Mechanical analysis and structure improvement of connecting rods of pumping units

Abstract:At present, there are many of idle five-type pumping units in the oil field, because of its structural design defects and long time service, some cracks or fractures appear on the horse heads, connecting rods and other parts. The use of remanufacturing technology on pumping units, can repair the old and utilize the waste, save the cost. Conventional checking method is difficult to calculate the connection parts, using the finite element technique to analyze the original structure of connecting rods, it is found that the original design is unreasonable and there is stress concentration. In view of the problems of stress concentration and breaking appearing on the connecting rods of pumping units, the corresponding improvement measures are put forward, and through software calculation and actual inspection, the effect of the improved connecting rods is good.
