Impact on Micro-arc Oxidation Coating of Al-Cu Casting Alloy in Different Voltage and Time

Abstract:In santocel system, micro-arc oxidation experiment of 20 min, 40 min, 60 min and 80 min was conducted respectively on four groups of specimens in each voltage of 450 V, 500 V and 550 V. Combined with thickness, hardness, corrosion resistance and SEM analysis of layer on the samples, the impact on micro-arc oxidation ceramic layer of Al-Cu casting alloy in various voltage and time was explored.The results show that once adopting voltage of 550 V and time of 60 min, the best ceramic layer could be obtained on the surface of materials.
